Hello and thanks for visiting this web page!

 My name is Stephen Styles. I'm a Christian, a Black man, and among others things, a practitioner in the work and art of racial reconciliation, healing, and justice. 

My book DEI and Jesus is the product of  years of experience as a faith-based community organizer, GLOCAL Musician Educator, and corporate consultant and trainer. 

With more than a decade of experience working with leaders and lay members of the country's largest, whitest mainline church denomination - 

the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) - I've seen the best of well-meaning people of faith who've made progress on racial justice and reconciliation issues. 

However

As a professional trainer, executive coach, DEI practitioner and Human Resources professional, I've also seen the worst of well-meaning and not-so-well-meaning people in business, education, government, and nonprofit spaces, who have failed to make progress on racial justice and reconciliation issues - whether it's been their intention to fail or not. 

What have I learned?

 That the only real solution to the legacy issues of racism, bigotry, white supremacy, fear, hatred and misunderstanding is Love. 

And I deeply believe that Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the Son of the True and Living God of Israel and all creation, is the embodiment of God's perfect Love. 

The purpose of this book is to offer readers a way to reframe these issues of human frailty by applying a lens of God's perfect Love through the teachings of Jesus. 

I hope it blesses you.
